Burnt Store Isles

This newborn, waterfront community is located five miles south of the captivating downtown area of Punta Gorda, just west of US-41, and within a short distance to I-75. Residents find BSI to be supreme, far away enough to project an unhurried lifestyle, but still close enough to explore what Southwest Florida has to offer.
Burnt Store Isles is a deed-restricted community, organized by the Burnt Store Isles Association, Inc., BSIA. In BSI, you will find custom-built homes, the oldest merely 25 years young, constructed with a Mediterranean touch and delicately placed on properties that are landscaped to perfection. The majority, about 1000, of the exquisite tile or metal roofed homes, villas, and condominiums, are sprinkled along the curves of a wide, navigable saltwater canal. Similar to Punta Gorda Isles, PGI, the canal is trimmed with seawalls, both of which are delicately maintained by the City of Punta Gorda.
Although the majority of the homes in BSI are situated along the water’s edge, roughly 400 residences border the stunning greens of the 18-hole Twin Isles Country Club golf course. Twin Isles is the focal point of Burnt Store Isles, and is a first-class, private county club. Member owned, this quality club not only provides championship golf memberships, but also promotes competitive tennis programs. Residents enjoy the variety of pastime activities that the Club has to offer, while also taking pleasure in the fine and casual dining, as well as social and community events that the club hosts.
For the boating aficionado, the stunning Charlotte Harbor, and ultimately, the crystal waves of the Gulf of Mexico, is effortlessly accessed from the delicate canal system by way of the natural waters of Alligator Creek. If so desired, as a resident of the Isles and a lover of the water, you may pursue membership in the Burnt Store Isles Boat Club, BSIBC. January 2009 marks the BSIBC’s 20th anniversary since its inception, and over the course of these years, has attributed its principal focus to supporting pleasurable, yet safe, watercraft activities.
